Recently, I’ve noticed a pattern of serial relationships that are romantic buddies that are dating online. They meet, and some months later, introduce their brand new partner for their young ones. Whenever it really works out, the children take advantage of having more adults within their life. Exactly what takes place, as many times does, if the relationship stops working? How can we assist children through these transitions and prevent uncertainty?
For the clear answer, we looked to Dr. Kristen Hadfield, a post-doctoral other I supervise during the Resilience Research Centre, that has been doing research within the U.S., Ireland and Canada on moms, stepparents and children. Here’s just just what she claims we all know.
First, parents are cycling inside and out of intimate relationships at a greater price than in the past. All those online online dating sites are doing whatever they had been designed to do.
